Lingo – Designed To Last!

Happy 10th Birthday to Lingo Design!

It was back in the summer of 2005 that Liz and Steve got their heads together and decided to set up Lingo Design. In those early days it was a team of just two, working out of a spare room and endeavouring to do things differently.

Ten years on, and though many things have changed, Lingo is still going strong.

We’ve now got our own design studio in a converted townhouse in Downham Market, the Lingo-mobile can be regularly spotted buzzing around town and the team has expanded both in team members and in geographical coverage, with Liz spending time further afield now as well as in the Fens.

Much has changed in the industry as well. Who would’ve thought back in 2005 that, a decade later, over 50% of all website visits would be on mobile devices, or that the rise of the iPad would have effectively killed off Flash technology.

Where once Lingo’s developers would only create non-editable, desktop websites, we’re now exclusively building content-managed and fully mobile-responsive sites. Print has decreased, replaced by app and interface design as well as infographics.

And yet, despite all these major shifts in how Lingo does what it does, we’re still proud to be working with many of our original clients from those early days as well as thinking about what the next 10 years might bring!

So here’s a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who has helped us get this far – Lingo-ites past and present as well as customers old and new.

Now, who’d like some cake?!
