News from Lingo Design

Lingo have long been pointing out the dangers of non-copyright image use to our web design clients, but just in case you were thinking of using someone elses images without the proper licence, here’s an image copyright story which should be all the evidence you need that not only is this practice an unethical one, but it’s also likely that you will get caught out and that it will cost… lots.

Lingo Design are the creators and operators of the community website, downhamweb which promotes Downham Market businesses and provides local information for our community and visitors alike. The website has a business directory, events calendar, webcam and growing news page.

This week we’ve added new listings to the business directory, and I’ve just been adding some more news! It’s built using loaf cms (this page is under development) which makes updating the site really easy, it’s just a question of finding the time, or me finding someone to help me!!!

Let’s hope 13 (thousand) isn’t an unlucky number for the Lingo team, as we’re all jumping out of a perfectly good plane at that altitude on the 27th October 2009!!

Craig, Steve, Liz and Claire are all looking forward to the day with great excitment – but not as much as Noel, who has had to lose 3 stone in order to meet the weight restrictions…..which he has done in just 9 weeks!!

It costs £3.2 million to run the East Anlian Air Ambulance per year and Lingo are looking to raise a £2000 contribution to this in the 3 weeks left before the big jump day!
