Here at Lingo we have been busily upgrading many of our clients’ websites to responsive design for over a year now.
With the growth in smart phone and tablet use, this was a common sense approach to ensuring all website visitors were getting the very best browsing experience.
However, that ‘nice to have’ responsive website will shortly become a necessity.
Google has announced that a planned change, coming into force on 21st April 2015, will see any websites that fail its mobile-friendly test experiencing a ‘significant impact’ on their search results.
The writing seems to be on the wall – it’s time to go responsive, or see organic search results suffer.
