8th Dimension are suppliers of seriously high-end sound systems for the most discerning of music listeners. Much more than a purely functional speaker system, the audio products on sale are also objects of beauty that look as good as they sound. They needed a new brand that reflected the high-end nature of their products and would play well to their discerning customers.
Our client was keen to incorporate the Norfolk origin of the company in the branding. The local plant samphire, that grows wild along North Norfolk’s beautiful coastline, became the central element in the new logo. A hand drawn illustration, that reflected the artisanal nature of the audio systems, was incorporated into a minimalist, elegant logo comprising soft tones of teal and grey.
The creation of a System Designer app, also called Samphire, allowed customers to choose their room (living room, kitchen) and its interior design style (traditional, modern) before being presented with an appropriate product recommendation. The app teases visitors, giving them a hint of the options that could be available and, acting as a conversion tool, prompts them to get in touch for a full personalised solution.
As well as looking good and encouraging conversions, it was essential that the website was structured to improve search visibility. With this in mind, every individual product has its own page allowing it to be more easily indexed by search engines.
This was an exciting project to work one with impressive results in terms of search, website functionality and the transformation of the company’s brand.
