From giant rabbits to tiny piglets
The Church Farm Rare Breeds Centre website ensured a cuteness overload in the Lingo studio.
The team at Church Farm were looking for a new content managed website – in particular one that allowed them to add new events, activities, news and animals to the site themselves. As a tourist attraction, having an attractive and easy to navigate website that could be quickly and easily updated was absolutely essential.
Easy to administer
Working together to plan out a clear, customer-facing (front end) website structure, Lingo then took this one step further by creating completely separate events, news and animals areas in the website’s backend. This additional time spent in site set-up ensured a much simpler and more straight-forward way for website administrators to control site content over the weeks and months ahead.
Thanks to the clever ‘under the hood’ admin system and design, when the Church Farm team add a new event or animal to the farm’s expanding list, that information is automatically added onto the correct page and styled to match the rest of the site’s design and layout, all with the minimum amount of hassle.
Responsive design
The project brief also included the requirement that the website was mobile-friendly, with the result that the Lingo development team built the new site from the ground-up to be fully responsive. The Church Farm website ‘knows’ whether it is being viewed on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone and will re-size and re-position navigation menus and content accordingly.
