This morning’s creative consultation visit with Paul @ Harrods Coaches (sorting through Nick’s many coach photos) was unexpectedly cut short by an emergency call from a rail operator who’s trains were having to be cancelled and who needed a stand in bus service. It was like having superman in the office! Paul jumped up as fast as a bullet, explained and apologised, arranging as he left to return to the office on Thursday, grabbed his sunglasses and was gone!
I just managed to snap his picture quickly as he was heading for the front door. Blurry, brilliant, bus-boi! We don’t mind Paul running off, we’re happy being flexible, we understand that your business comes first, but beware, we might well give you a nick-name and probably blog about it if we think we can get away with it!!!

So the Lifestyles festival is almost upon us, and all the hard work is coming in to play. Everyone that’s involved in the festival is working hard to get everything ready for tomorrow. Here at Lingo we’ve been Blogging on the Lifestyles website everyday which have then been pulled over my Facebook and hitting an even bigger audience. The Lifestyles festival starts tomorrow the 9th of July and is hosted on the North prom in Hunstanton. The Lingo Design team will be down on the beach watching all of the action and enjoying the sun, we’ve also got our kites packed ready
see you all there!

Well hello there and welcome to the updated v6.0 Lingo website, we hope you like it.
It’s an evolution of the previous site design, (bread is still a running theme for us) but with more examples our web, print and general design work.
The site also has a larger emphasis on the blogging/news section a tool which will allow me to share with you useful information, to write advice posts with your online success in mind, share sources of inspiration and advice on how you can improve your website or business on the internet.
So, as we build resources and information for your delectation and delight, watch this space! But first, why not check out the rest of the site and don’t forget to let us know what you think!
I had a wonderful meeting yesterday with the incredibly talented ‘Mixed Media Artist’ Jane Clark. After a bit of mindmapping and a lot of business chatting – we’ve almost got to grips with the current set up of Jane’s websites, which currently combine an excellent level of photography, information and brilliant blog posts…via WordPress and Blogger (two tools we strongly recommend, and I use myself).
For those of you clients who struggle to think up new ideas to talk about in your site blogs, this lady is one to watch, “there’s always something to talk about” says Jane – passing on and sharing information or other useful ideas and resources makes a blog interesting and infinity revisit-able. Even our design consultation was blogged about the SAME DAY it happened, a whole day quicker than I managed, and a wonderful post too – thank you Jane!
The new site, which will continue to make the most of the hard work done so far and the blogging tools, will also offer the opportunity for visitors to buy fantastic prints, quilts, paintings and other artistic creations through a secure payment section of the site as well as providing more information about art tuition and classes available.
So, watch this space art lovers – and even if you’re not ‘in-to’ all that, the site makes for excellent inspiration and a great blogging example too www.art2inspire.co.uk !
OOOOOOhhhhh! It’s lovely! Thanks to GGSL, (super-dooper Glaziers in Downham Market) we have a lovely red glass splashback in our kitchen!

Now, get that kettle on!
Another year, another thoroughly enjoyable, thought provoking and tiring trip down to the Internet World exhibition @ Earls Court.
This year, we were all struck by the focus on CMS tools and mobile app development. CMS tools have been developing rapidly, and the market leaders are all keen to empress why their system is the best. After being given the mega pitch all day from eager sales guys, I came away thinking how pleased I am with our system and excited about it’s possibilities, but keen to promote it, as my fondness for it has developed even further. As for the mobile and web application development, it was interesting to see the early developers battling it out for the foothold on which platform to use, with the iPhone and Android systems leading the way, but a strong case being put forward for developers to concentrate on web apps first and foremost which made perfect sense to me!
After learning the best way to tackle the hundreds of exhibits from last year, we spent time carefully researching new emerging techniques, tools and trends while also comparing products and prices for our existing service providers (such as hosts and email marketing systems) to the ones on show. It’s reassuring to hear from the experts that the ideas you have and techniques you use as a company are solid and popular and it’s always good to see examples of other companies working on the same principles.
We’re a few streets ahead when it comes to custom facebook pages – but more on that later!
All in all though, a useful day for all the team, with loads of ideas and inspirational resources to think about! (not to mention a massive selection of stressballs, pens, keyrings and other such freebies to help us remember those companies that want to be remembered…) – A special thanks to iomart. for the best give-aways of the day – fruit shaped stressballs and free fruit smoothies!!
